Stop Obnoxious Noises
The turkey has been eaten, the pie is gone; it appears as though the busy days that go along with the holiday season are behind us…but is there peace? Or quiet? Remember all those shiny, pretty gifts that looked like a great idea when they were sitting on the shelf of the store packaged so innocently in their boxes? Well they are out of those packages now….beeping and screeching and making various other obnoxious noises. What is a parent to do? On the one hand the kids are thrilled….on the other hand your ears are not…….We might have just the answer.
Our Roxul insulation is sound absorbing and it is actually very effective at keeping band practice in the garage and out of your office by creating a barrier against the noise. Roxul is made out of a combination of stone and recycled steel by-product called slay. This tough combination makes it very durable, non-combustible, water, mold, mildew, bacteria and moisture resistant. If the product does come into contact with water then the moisture will not be absorbed which allows the insulation to maintain its R-value. Better yet it can withstand very high temperatures so when your kid fires up their brand new electric guitar, (pun intended) you can relax knowing you have the situation covered.
Roxul is a semi rigid bat insulation which can be applied between wood or steel studs. It’s non-directional fiber structure and high density gives it good dimensional stability and allows it to maintain a friction hold within the wall. You may notice during installation that the bats are slightly wider than the cavity it will be housed in. That works well because it has flexible sides so it can be conformed to fit into the space. When the sides are released it will quickly re-establish its original shape and fill the space snugly blocking up any gaps that might allow air (or sound) to escape.
How can this get better right? Well there’s more. Roxul is made from up to 75% recycled material. That’s right; it is even good for the environment and the Milton facility that produces the insulation goes to painstaking measures to ensure they leave as little a carbon footprint through production as possible.
So give us a call and enjoy the feeling of knowing that you not only fulfilled your children’s dreams of owning their very own karaoke machine but you also found a way to preserve your mental health. It’s a win-win situation.
